       My husband and I were in a serious bind after falling victim to a mortgage company that was all over the news for predatory lending practices.  We had refinanced our home in November 2006 in order to do some repairs and pay off some debt.  Everything was fine until about one month later, our fixed rate mortgage started going up.  At first, it was not so bad, but within a period of three months, our mortgage had jumped up three times, sending our monthly payments to over $1,800.00 per month.
 When we spoke to our lender, their employee admitted that someone had altered our loan documents.  We were very upset about this considering we had sent them thousands to get it all straightened out.  We tried to work this out on our own with our lender, but it got to the point that they would not even return our calls.  Devastated, we decided we needed to take matters in our own hands.  
 Since trying to work with our lending company directly was not working, we consulted with a few different lawyers.  Much to our dismay, they all wanted us to pay a hefty retainer fee just to review our case, and without a guarantee that they could help.  They also told us it would cost thousands for filing fees and other expenses.  We just did not have that kind of money after paying our lender thousands to fix errors that they never fixed. 
 We kept seeing ads in the paper stating, “We can help, guaranteed…no matter what the situation!”  We called number after number and answered every letter like this we got in the mail.  For months, we worked with numerous people who claimed they could help us, whether it was a doing a short sale on our home, or to help us fix our loan.  We almost had our house sold with one investor, only for him to tell us two days before signing our paperwork that he cannot work with our lender.  After they had agreed to do the short sale, they decided not to return his calls or send any paperwork.  It seemed like our mortgage company was purposely trying to foreclose on us. 
       We did not give up just yet.  We found more numbers to call, more people to work with, and after speaking with at least 50 different companies, no one could help us.  Every single one of them eventually told us “sorry, there’s nothing we can do”.  We were facing foreclosure and possibly bankruptcy.  All hope was lost.  Then one day, we received a postcard in the mail and figured why not call these people too?  The worst thing they could tell us was “sorry, we cannot help either.”  
       We called and spoke to David Garza at Premiere Property, and he said he could help us for a small fee.  Of course, we were doubtful after all that we had been through, but we figured why not try it?  After all, they might be able to help us because they have a law office handling the paperwork.  We paid our fee, sent in all the paperwork necessary for David to start work on our case, and patiently waited to see the results.  Believe me, we were nervous wrecks because if David could not help us, it was definitely going to become a foreclosure and/or bankruptcy.  He was truly our last hope.
       The area we lived in Florida had numerous homes for sale and numerous foreclosures happening daily.  We were not sure if we could even sell our house, and we were extremely nervous about putting blind faith into anyone after all that we had been through, especially someone in California since we live in Florida.  We probably drove David nuts calling with questions, but he answered every one, reassuring our doubts.  He was very patient with us, making sure he got back with us as soon as possible, regarding whatever it was we were calling for.  This was a huge relief since we could not even get our mortgage company to return any of our calls. 
       We moved out of our house at the end of September 2007 certain that David could not help us, knowing we had to find a place quickly since we had three children.  We truly did not believe that he could help us, and we had started to accept the fact that all hope was lost.  You can imagine how shocked we were when David called us right before Christmas to tell us he had a buyer for us!  It took only a short while to get all the final paperwork situated, and we ended up closing on the sale of our house on February 7, 2008, almost one year since our troubles started.  Finally, our nightmare was over!  The stress was gone and we could finally move on with our lives, thanks to David and Premiere Property Processing.
